BROOKLYN, NY -- Triskelion Arts is thrilled to present the return of Synthesis, a Guest Curation by Miz Jade to the Trisk Stage. Long-time Guest Curator Miz Jade founded Synthesis, a theatrical variety show that has found its home at Trisk since its inception in 2020. Now in its fourth year, Synthesis continues to thrive as a platform for nightlife performers in the queer community. The show celebrates a diverse range of disciplines and identities, offering a spectacular evening of music, drag, and burlesque. This collaboration between Trisk and Miz Jade not only provides a space for artists to nurture and grow their craft but also equips them with essential resources and support. Synthesis empowers artists to bring their grand vision to life on the stage. This years incredible line up includes DiDi Opulence, Ginger Von Snap, Klondyke, Miz Jade, ShowPonii, Zenobia, and Sweaty Eddie. Tickets are on sale now.

Triskelion Arts, lovingly referred to as Trisk, is a nonprofit organization, live performance venue, and rehearsal space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, offering NYC-based dance and movement artists high-quality, sustainable opportunities to create and present work. Trisk partners with artists creating trailblazing work that broadens the cultural dialogue and elevates its community’s many voices and perspectives. Trisk is a home for artists and audiences to connect, to make art happen, to make magic. Trisk presents artists practicing, crafting, mining, experimenting, speaking up, and speaking out.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Miz Jade, a Black-Trans drag performer and professional dancer based in NYC, is celebrated for her teaching, activism, and quick wit. Trained at SUNY Purchase, she seamlessly blends her dance background with her nightlife career. Miz Jade has graced high-profile stages, collaborated with drag luminaries, and earned titles in competitions like So You Think You Can Drag and MX BK. A versatile artist, she's known for performances in Nightgowns, Ke$ha's cruise, and in the drag opera, Chimera. Miz Jade is a proud member of Drag Story Hour NYC, fostering imagination and diversity for children. Recently, she became the face of 'The Real Ms Information,' a national campaign promoting COVID vaccination awareness. Nominated for Glam Awards and Brooklyn Nightlife Awards, Miz Jade continues to captivate audiences with her fierce and inclusive presence. @MizJade_Davon

DiDi Opulence is a Brooklyn based showgirl/drag queen. She focuses on passionate strip teases and lip syncs. She has a monthly show at the bar, All Night Skate, called Double D’s, which she puts on with her sister- an all trans extravaganza! @Theopulentdoll

Ginger Von Snap is a drag performer who has been in the game for over 10 years. Currently slaying the scene as a trans woman in Brooklyn scene known as “The ass of Brooklyn.” @vonsnap

Klondyke is an alien tragg*t superstar!!! Child of a black hole and a supernova, raised by a 4th dimensional rockstar. Experimental musical theatre composer, and first winner of Cakeboys Takes the Cake Competition they are here to terrorize norms out of existence through the great unifier: MUUUUSIIIIIC! (Bark of Millions by Taylor Mac and Matt Ray at The Sydney Opera House, Oct 2023; Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil workshop by Taylor Mac and Jason Robert Brown, May 2023; Scarecrow by Klondyke at Ars Nova, Jan 2023; Takes the Cake Drag King and Thing Competition winner by The Cakeboys, at 3DB, Sept 2021). @klondyke_drag

ShowPonii is known as the number on work horse of Brooklyn and the tristate area. He has recently won the Glam Award for best Drag King and has been featured in the recent revival of Sasha Velour’s Nightgowns along with publications such as NowThis, Paper Magazine, and Them. He’s a crazy face and a good time in the tightest pair of pants you’ve ever seen ready to kick off the party! @showponii

With an uncanny presence described by audiences as "existential crisis-y", this tiny flubber man has been shapeshifting across the NYC drag scene since 2017. Sweaty Eddie's physical comedy and ethereal presence has graced New York City stages as varied as Pride showcases at La Mama, infamous late night acts at The Box, and Sasha Velour's "Nightgowns". One of the few drag kings featured on national television, he has directed and starred in on-air Adult Swim segments, been highlighted on the global LGBT streaming network Revry, and shocked Simon Cowell while attempting to make a sandwich on America's Got Talent. Sweaty Eddie is a co-producer of the 8 times GLAM award nominated NYC drag king & thing collective The Cake Boys (@The_Cakeboys). Known for delightfully disturbing body horror and eye popping animation, this king will leave you feeling sensations you can't quite put your finger on... @sweatyeddie.tv

Otherwise known as The Drag Princess of Brooklyn, Zenobia is a master in the arts of hairography, emoting, and a tight lipsync. Never one to shy away from leaving her heart on the stage, she has captivated audiences from coast to coast with her power and vulnerability. As kind as She is Fierce, this doll always delivers. @whoiszenobia
