TRISK PRESENTS CHRISTIAN A. WARNER | NOVEMBER 12-14, 2026

For Immediate Release
OCTOBER 1, 2026
BROOKLYN, NY - Triskelion Arts is thrilled to present Resident Artist Christian A. Warner’s premiere of WE GATHER HERE, running November 12-14 at 8PM each night at Trisk.

WE GATHER HERE is an ensemble performance and community activation project exploring the intimate spaces where we retreat to confide, rehabilitate, ground, and re-strategize. Rather than centering resistance as reaction, the work positions gathering itself as essential infrastructure: the quiet, often unseen practice that makes endurance and evolution possible.

Inspired by the speculative worlds of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Talents, The Brother from Another Planet, and The Wiz, the work imagines a network of ‘eternals’ (carriers of memory who move quietly through generations) reuniting for a 'family reunion', gathering as both a spiritual and political act. Their characters endure the pendulum of landscapes between liberation and oppression not through domination, but attentiveness to one another. Through spiritual and cultural frameworks that sustain hope across generations, choreography, live sound, vocal performance, and tech-centered theatrical design, WE GATHER HERE aims to create immersive environments where performers and audiences alike are invited to consider gathering as both a cultural inheritance and a strategy for imagining more holistic futures.

Tickets are on sale online, and at the box office each night 30 minutes before curtain.

Michael Szivos is the founder of SOFTlab, a design studio based in New York City. The studio combines a research-based design practice with an interest in how technology, craft, and materials come together in ways that explore the boundaries between architecture, other disciplines, and the public. That curiosity is driven by the idiosyncratic nature of the world and the expectations people have of how they engage with that world and each other. While technology can be seen as an alibi for innovation or progress, the studio sees technology as an opportunity to enable new perspectives of where we might find unexpected possibilities, playfulness, and beauty in an increasingly complex world. In addition to running SOFTlab, Michael is also a critic at Yale University’s School of Architecture where he teaches core graduate design studio and is an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture where he teaches thesis.
